Fixed interest rates, with fixed term options are now available for existing members of the Australian Securities Term Fund. Members have the option to transfer an amount from their individual unit holding in their variable account into fixed interest rate for a fixed term, currently 6 or 12 months. The higher fixed interest income is paid monthly to investors. Minimum and maximum investment amounts apply being $10,000 and $50,000 respectively, until the fixed interest rate offer is fully allocated.
No withdrawals or transfers to the Income or Property Funds are permitted with fixed interest rate investments. At the maturity date, the fixed interest term rate will convert to the 90-day variable term rate and is then at call on a 14-day notice from the Member.
